Where is Blaine, Washington?
Blaine is as close to Vancouver, BC as you can get and still be in Washington! It's located right on the border, just 45 minutes from downtown Vancouver, and about an hour and a half north of Seattle on I-5. Directions can be found here.
What is the closest airport to feis?
Blaine Performing Arts Center is located just 25 minutes north of Bellingham International Airport (BLI), and just 40 minutes south of Vancouver International Airport (YVR). Competitors flying into YVR, please note that you will need to cross the border from Canada to the USA to reach the venue.
Is there a feis hotel?
No. Numerous lodging options are available between Blaine and Bellingham, just 20 minutes to the south, to fit any budget. We encourage competitors to explore their options on travel websites such as Hotwire, Priceline and Orbitz.
How does the entry cap work?
Entries will be capped at 375 paid entries – 125 Championship entries and 200 grade entries – on a first-paid first-entered basis, with additional entries placed on a wait list and accepted on a space-available basis. Your entry will only be confirmed once paid.
What rules will my dancer use to advance?
Generally, dancers will use the rules of the region in which they reside to advance. The syllabus incorporates features of both Western Canadian and Western US feis syllabi to ensure that everyone has the opportunity to advance under the rules of their own region. Please consult your instructor for more details.
Can levels be changed after entries have been paid?
Yes! If a dancer advances after the entry has been paid, levels can be changed up until October 17th.
How does the Costume Reel work?
Our signature event, the costume reel, is 16 bars anything goes! Competitors may dance alone or in groups, although all must pay the registration fee, and are encouraged to use their creativity in costuming and choreography. Past winners have included the Wizard of Oz, Mary Poppins, Twilight and the Tour de Feis - all in 16 bars!

With a cap on entries , we recommend you pay for entries ASAP to guarantee you entry into the feis!
